Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Abteilung für Altamerikanistik und am BASA-Museum (Bonner Amerikas-Sammlung). Er ist Kulturanthropologe und arbeitet zu den Themen Museumssammlungen und Provenienzforschung, Ethnohistorie, Erinnerung und Gedenken, Tod und Ahnenkult, Schrift und Maya-Epigraphik.

Senior researcher at the Department for Anthropology of the Americas and at the BASA Museum (Bonn Collection of the Americas). He is a cultural anthropologist working on museum collections and provenance research, ethnohistory, memory and remembrance, death and ancestor cult, writing and Maya epigraphy
